Launching a Fan Club takes a few minutes once you have everything ready. For an overview of what a Fan Club is and how the artist coin behind it works, see Fan Clubs: A Guide for Artists and Fans.
Before You Start
You'll need:
- A verified Audius account. Verification is required to use the Launchpad. See How to Get Verified if you're not yet.
- An external Solana wallet like Phantom. You'll use this to launch your coin.
- A small amount of SOL in that wallet (at least 0.03 SOL) to cover network fees.
- Optional: $AUDIO in your external wallet, if you want to make a "First Buy" of your coin before anyone else.
Launching Your Fan Club
- Click the Fan Clubs tab in your left nav bar, then click Get Started to open the Launchpad.
- When prompted, connect your external Solana wallet.
- Enter your Coin Name, Symbol (something like $YOURNAME), and an image. These details are written on-chain at launch, so they're permanent and can't be changed later. Click Continue.
- Review your details, accept the terms and conditions, and click Continue again.
- You'll be offered an optional First Buy, which lets you purchase your own coin before anyone else. The First Buy is paid in $AUDIO from your external wallet. If you need some, click Buy $AUDIO to grab it without losing your progress. You can also skip and buy your coin later.
- Click Launch Fan Club. You'll be asked to approve 2-3 prompts from your external wallet to finalize the launch on-chain.
- Once it's live, you'll see options to Share to X, copy the Coin Address to view your coin on the blockchain, and visit your new Fan Club page on Audius.
After Launching
A few things to do once your Fan Club is live:
- Add a description to your Fan Club page so fans know what it's about.
- Upload exclusive music for your Fan Club members.
- Consider setting up an exclusive Discord channel.
- Share the news with your fans on social.
