How to Get Verified
To get verified, go to the settings page in-app and click 'get verified' or visit audius.co/check in your browser. You will be asked to complete a KYC/ID check. Once successfully completed, you can expect to receive an update within approximately 72 hours. If you experience any difficulties, contact support@audius.co.
What Verification Unlocks
Verification is required for several key platform features:
- Artist Coins: Only verified artists can launch an Artist Coin. See How to Launch an Artist Coin for the full walkthrough, or Artist Coins: Details and Key Terms for mechanics and tokenomics.
- Message Blasts: Verified artists can send a Message Blast to their followers, tip supporters, purchasers, and remixers. Artists without verification can still qualify if they hold at least a bronze $AUDIO badge. See Direct Messaging for full eligibility details.
- Verified Badge: A verified badge appears on your profile and next to your name across the platform, helping fans identify your official account.
