How to Launch an Artist Coin

Before you dive in, here’s what you’ll need:

An Audius account – Make sure you’re verified and logged in on a web browser.
An external Solana wallet – Something like Phantom Wallet works well. This is where your coins will live.
SOL (Solana) – You’ll need a small amount (at least 0.03 SOL) in your wallet to cover network fees. SOL is the native currency of the Solana network, which Audius uses to process transactions.
Optional: $AUDIO – in your external wallet if you want to make an initial purchase of your coin before anyone else. Your first buy will be deposited in the external wallet used to create your Artist Coin.

Click the Artist Coins tab in your left Nav Bar.
Click the “Get Started” button to open the Launchpad and review some introductory details.
Click “Get Started” again, and you’ll be prompted with a pop-up to connect your preferred external wallet.
Enter your desired Coin Name, Symbol ($EXAMPLE), and picture. These on-chain details are permanent and can’t be changed later! Click “Continue.”
Review your details,make any final adjustments, and once you’ve read and accepted the terms and conditions, click “Continue” again.
Finally, you’ll have the option to make the “First Buy” of your coin.
1. You can buy more of your Artist Coin at any time, but this optional step ensures you are the first buyer of your coin at the absolute lowest possible price.
2. This “First Buy” requires $AUDIO in your external wallet. If interested, click “Get $AUDIO” to acquire some $AUDIO without losing your Launchpad progress.
Finally, click “Create Coin” to launch your coin! You will need to click “Approve” on 2-3 popups from your external wallet during this process.
When successful, you’ll see an option to “Share to X”, copy the Coin Address if you want to view it on the blockchain, and continue to view your Coin Page on Audius.
