Inbox Privacy Settings
Audius provides flexible settings to control who can send you messages. Here's how to manage these options:

Managing Conversations
Deleting Conversations
You can delete conversation threads at any time. However, keep in mind that deleting a conversation only removes it from your account—the other person will still be able to see the conversation on their end.
Blocking Users
Blocking individual users prevents them from sending you messages. You can block someone either from their profile or within an ongoing conversation. However, blocking a user will not prevent them from viewing your profile or interacting with your public content.
Reporting Abuse
Your safety is a priority on Audius. If you encounter abusive behavior or inappropriate content, you can report it directly within the app. Reports can be submitted from within a conversation or from a user's profile.
Message Blasts
Message Blasts are a feature designed for artists to engage with their fanbase by sending targeted messages. Verified artists or those with at least a bronze badge can send Message Blasts to specific groups of their audience.
How Message Blasts Work
When composing a new message, eligible artists will see the option to Send a Message Blast. This feature allows artists to send updates to specific fan groups. Audience options include:
- Your Followers
- Tip Supporters (fans who have sent you a tip)
- All Purchasers (everyone who has purchased content from you on Audius)
- Remix Creators (creators who have remixed your tracks)
For Purchasers and Remix Creators, artists can filter by specific releases to send more targeted messages, such as reaching out to users who remixed a particular track.
Message Blasts are one-way communications from the artist to their selected audience. Fans can respond or react to the Message Blast, and their replies will appear in a separate DM thread, similar to a standard direct message.
Eligibility
To send a Message Blast, users must meet one of the following requirements:
- Verified Artist Status, or
- Have at least a bronze badge (or higher) on Audius.
