Editing Your Release on Audius

You can edit your release from its page in the Audius web app. Open the release, click Edit, make your changes, then click Save Changes.

Open the edit page

  1. Open the release you want to update.
  2. Click Edit.

What's on the edit page

Basic details

The top of the page covers the main details listeners see first. These fields may include:

  • artwork
  • title
  • genre
  • mood
  • tags
  • description

If you're editing a track, you can also use Replace File to upload a new audio file or Download File to download the current one.

Privacy

Track Privacy controls visibility and release timing. Use this section to change whether the release is available now or later.

Price and audience

Price & Audience controls who can access the release. You may see options such as:

  • Free for Everyone
  • Premium
  • Special Access
  • Coin Gated

Advanced

Advanced includes additional metadata and rights settings. You may see:

  • release date
  • tempo (BPM)
  • key
  • disabling comments
  • license type
  • ISRC and ISWC
  • marking a track as a cover
  • disallowing streaming through the Audius API

The License Type section controls attribution, commercial use, and derivative works.

If you're editing a cover, remix, or other derivative work, make sure you have the necessary rights or permission before publishing it. For more on Audius policies, see What are the Audius Copyright Policies and Processes?.

Stems and downloads

If available, Stems & Downloads lets you control whether fans can download your files and who can access them. This section may include:

  • download availability, such as Public, Followers, or Premium
  • Full Track Download
  • additional files, such as stems or source files

Audius supports high-quality and lossless file formats for uploads and downloads. For supported audio formats, see Supported File Types.

Remix settings

Remix Settings let you control how the release connects to remixes on Audius. Options include:

  • Identify as Remix
  • Hide Remixes of This Track

When you're done, click Save Changes.
